35J
The 35J model uses our J model single coil design encased in our 35 extended series housing. This model has a solid low end and a prominent midrange. Featuring a very low ratio of resistance to inductance that increases the low frequency response, the 35J still maintains the narrow aperture for that typical Jazz Bass tone. This pickup uses a housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm).

35P4
The 35P4 design has two offset coils that result in more low end with brilliant highs. It uses short, squat coils that have very little resistance and plenty of inductance and ceramic magnets are used to add clarity. The 35P4 has a natural presence, powerful lows, punchy midrange, and superior definition. This pickup uses a 35 Extended housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm).

It is intended for 4-string basses with a maximum string width of 2.5 inches.

35TW
Inside the 35TW pickup are both single and dual-coil pickups, each with its own output. The single-coil mode is a new version of our J pickup built in the CS (ceramic and steel). The dual-coil mode is our popular CS dual-coil consisting of two coils opposite one another creating a pickup similar to model 35CS. A push/pull volume (or tone) pot allows you to change from the clarity of a single-coil to the fatness of a dual-coil. The 35TW can be used with any of EMG's tone enhancing circuits on either pickup output. This pickup uses a 35 Extended housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm).

When using two of the TW Pickups in the same instrument it is not recommended that BT or BQ Systems be used. Each pickup requires a push/pull pot for switching from single coil to dual coil so the balance control included with the system can't be installed.
If you want to use the balance control, consider switching single/dual coil outputs with a DPDT toggle switch(s) instead.
